Doug Bohrer is a proven leader with over 25 years of leadership experience in the Healthcare Industry and in the Military. Doug honed his expertise in Biotech and Medical Device at Johnson & Johnson and KCI, and most recently has provided executive leadership for several privately held Healthcare and Med Tech companies. He started his career in General Electric’s Junior Officer Leadership Program after serving as an Army officer for 5 years where he rose to the rank of Captain. Doug earned his undergraduate degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point and his MBA from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
Joe Fischer is a bio-pharmaceutical industry veteran with a proven record of success and 35 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience. Joe started his career at Worthington Biochemical Corporation in Freehold, NJ, leaving for a few years to serve in the Air Force before continuing his career at Worthington. Joe has also worked for AH Robins, American Home Products, and was Vice President of Manufacturing and Operations at Osteotech and Enzon. Joe founded Lifeblood Medical Inc. in 2001 and is the inventor of Lifor, a biotechnology which proved that tissue and organ preservation can be performed at room temperature. Lifor had also showed proof of principal for use as a fluid replacement.
Brian has over 30 years business experience. He graduated from Johnson and Wales University and after a period in the hospitality sector transitioned to the biotechnology field by joining Lifeblood Medical, Inc. Brian has an entrepreneurial spirit and has worked extensively with contract manufacturers to produce the organ, tissue and cell preservation solutions pf Lifor and Liforcell. Brian set up Lifeblood Medicals’ shipping facility, including developing standard operating procedures to ensure cGMP compliance. Brian was also involved with sales and marketing.
James is a US Registered Attorney with more than 20 years of experience. He has advised CEOs of multinational companies on all matters related to M&A, including due diligence, contract drafting, finance, global IP issues, patent registration, licensing, and issues of corporate governance; and has lead in-house and outside legal counsel on major contract negotiations and litigation.
James has particular in-depth expertise in patent law in jurisdictions around the world, including the Americas, Europe, and Asia. In private practice he has filed and prosecuted well over 500 US patent applications and Patent Cooperation Treaty patent applications, and as well national phase patent and trademark applications in over 40 countries worldwide. James graduated cum laude with a JD from Stetson University College of Law and is a member of the Florida Bar and a licensed US Registered Patent Attorney before the USPTO. He is a native English speaker with a strong professional working proficiency in Spanish, having lived and worked in Costa Rica in the legal profession for a continuous 10-year period.
Jim has spent the past 22 years in the legal arena, most recently as a senior equity partner at global law firm Winckworth Sherwood, advising a diverse range of business sectors from property development through to banking. He qualified as an ADR mediator in 2006 and has led some of the United Kingdom’s most prominent class actions.
Today, Jim is applying his entrepreneurial skills across a broad range of projects. He is the lead adviser to a major Indian conglomerate and is also a published author.
Abhishek Choudhary is a Finance Director with considerable business acumen who has advised CEOs of multinational companies and start-ups on all financial matters. With extensive experience in a number of sectors including robotics and technology, he has gained a reputation among his peers for his diligence and attention to detail.
He is currently working across the Cascade Global portfolio of companies, including oversight of operations in Europe, South East Asia and South America, with a particular focus on Detraxi.
